A prominent figure and Gospel musician, “Piesie Esther”, has shared her evolving views on social media, acknowledging its potential as a powerful tool for spreading positivity.
Initially sceptical, she had condemned social media, believing it to be “demonic.” However, after witnessing its impact, she now recognises its value.
I was not interested in the media space because I condemned it, she explained. “But I’ve come to realise that social media has come to help”. She believes it’s all dependent on how you use it. Some use it negatively, and others use it positively. This shift in perspective has allowed her to harness the benefits of social media, leveraging it to share her message with a wider audience.
She drew an interesting analogy, comparing social media to a ship on the sea during the time of Jesus. This perspective has enabled her to approach social media with a sense of purpose, using it to spread the word of God and share her thoughts and ideas with others.
The interviewer commended her on her active social media presence, which she attributed to the efforts of her managers. Despite her initial reservations, she has come to appreciate the value of social media in today’s digital age.
