Authorities have confirmed that Tyler Robinson, the suspected shooter in the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, is now in custody. According to Utah Governor Spencer Cox, Robinson contacted a family friend, who then alerted law enforcement. A relative reportedly told investigators that Robinson had expressed hostility toward Kirk prior to the attack.
Officials revealed that a bolt-action rifle was recovered, wrapped in a towel. Shell casings found with the weapon bore engraved messages, including one that read: “Hey fascist! Catch!”
President Donald Trump stated earlier that he was “highly confident” the suspect had been apprehended.
