Speaking on Atinka TV’s Oman Mu Nsem show hosted by Nana Owoahene Acheampong, Addai-Nimoh shared his frustrations with the party’s leadership but stressed that his commitment to the NPP remains strong. “

Money Influence in NPP Is Dangerous

Addai-Nimoh warned that the growing influence of money in the party is dangerous and must be addressed. “The moneyocracy in NPP is becoming very dangerous, and party leadership should curb that,” he stated.

He believes that if this trend continues, it will hurt the party’s democratic values and damage trust among grassroots supporters.

Sidelined After Helping in 2016

He revealed that although he contributed significantly to the NPP’s 2016 campaign, he was left out of President Akufo-Addo’s government.

The former MP made it clear that being given a ministerial position is not his goal.

He also explained why he did not run again as MP for Mampong, saying he decided not to contest again based on his conviction.

Criticizes NPP Leadership and Decision-Making

Addai-Nimoh heavily criticized the current leadership of the party, especially the National Council, for what he described as poor decision-making. He said the party had not learned any lessons from its poor performance in the last elections.

He opposed the “Top-Down Approach” used by the leadership to select candidates and described it as “very dangerous.” According to him, many party members are unhappy and angry but are being ignored.

Calls on Kufuor to Intervene

He called on former President John Agyekum Kufuor to intervene and bring order to the party’s leadership.

Pulled Out of Flagbearer Race

Addai-Nimoh explained that he pulled out of the NPP presidential race because the system was unfair and controlled by a few individuals.

Despite the challenges, he ended on a hopeful note, calling for real unity in the party.
