New Patriotic Party (NPP) Founding Member and a former aide to former Vice President Aliu Mahama, David Kankam Boadu has expressed his hopefulness and praise for former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for what he describes as a period of hard work and dedication during his tenure in office.

Speaking in an interview on Atinka Tv’s Tuesday edition of Simpieso talk show with Nana Owoahene Acheampong, Boadu acknowledged Akufo-Addo’s contributions to Ghana’s development. Stating that the former president “really worked in his time.”

However, he also issued a strong call for reconciliation and accountability within the NPP. He urged key party figures former President John Agyekum Kufuor, former President Akufo-Addo, and the current national chairman of the party to publicly apologize to Ghanaians, particularly loyal supporters of the NPP, for any perceived shortcomings during their leadership.

In a bold promise to the party faithful, Kankam Boadu assured that if elected as NPP National Chairman, he would work tirelessly to unite the party and lead it to victory in future elections.

In an unexpected twist, he pledged to resign from the chairmanship position after securing electoral success for the party, emphasizing his desire to serve selflessly.

His comments have sparked discussions among political observers, with some describing his stance as a call for a new era of honesty and humility within the NPP.
