The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) has announced a temporary suspension of all staff, effective Monday, February 24, 2025.
The decision follows unresolved legal and administrative issues regarding employment contracts and salary disbursements, the management revealed in a statement released on Friday, February 21.
Despite extensive efforts to address concerns over staff compensation, NEIP’s management has determined that the legal complexities involved prevent the use of operational funds for monthly staff allowances.
As a result, the organization has stated that all employment matters must undergo the appropriate legal processes to avoid further complications.
Only specific employees whose services are deemed essential will be required to return to work, the statement said. Staff in possession of NEIP property are instructed to return items to the HR Officer by close of business on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Failure to comply will be regarded as theft.
