The rumours gained momentum following Daniels' deactivation of her Instagram account, leading to speculation about issues in her marriage to the senator.

Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko has dismissed rumours circulating on social media suggesting that he is planning to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that she is pregnant with his child.

In an official statement released by his Director of Communications, the claims were described as “entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation.”

The statement also denied reports suggesting that Nwoko had made comments about musician Tuface Idibia and polygamy.

The statement read: “Our attention has been drawn to recent false reports suggesting that Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko is planning to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that she is pregnant for him. We categorically state that these claims are entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation.”

It further noted that, as a high-profile public figure married to popular actress Regina Daniels, Nwoko often finds himself the subject of unfounded rumours aimed at drawing attention.

“Senator Nwoko remains focused on his national and political duties and has no time for such distractions,” the statement continued. “This office remains open to journalists seeking accurate information, and we urge media practitioners to verify facts before publication to avoid the legal repercussions of spreading misinformation.”

The statement concluded by urging the public to disregard the rumours and rely only on official communications from Nwoko’s office.

Chika Ike’s recent pregnancy announcement further fueled the claims of a possible connection with Nwoko, though these remain unsubstantiated.

Despite the social media buzz, Nwoko’s office stands firm in dismissing the rumours, reiterating the importance of responsible media reporting.
