The government committee tasked with recovering stolen state funds has submitted a large number of suspected corruption cases to President John Mahama.

The Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) Committee handed over its findings on Monday, 10 February 2025, following a public appeal for reports of suspected corruption.

Committee chairman Okudzeto Ablakwa said the response from Ghanaians demonstrated widespread concern over corruption, adding that the public was keenly awaiting government action.

Since its formation, the ORAL Committee has gathered 2,417 reports—1,493 via a toll-free number and 924 through email.

President Mahama praised the committee’s work, noting that its members had volunteered without financial compensation.

He pledged that all recovered funds would be reinvested in national development, declaring that “Ghana is no longer a ground for corruption.”
