Ghana’s national team has opened camp in Austria as the Black Stars prepare for international friendlies against Austria and Germany later this month.

Coach Otto Addo named a 26-man squad for the March FIFA window, with 22 players already reporting to the Vienna Football Campus since camp opened Sunday. The early sessions focused on recovery for those who featured in weekend club matches, while others worked on tactical drills and shooting practice.

The squad includes debutants Patrick Pfeiffer, Derrick Luckassen, Marvin Senaya, and Daniel Agyei, alongside senior figures Jordan Ayew, Thomas Partey, and Antoine Semenyo. Semenyo joined camp Monday after helping Manchester City win the Carabao Cup, receiving a guard of honor from teammates.

Deputy captain Thomas Partey has reinforced the midfield, while defenders such as Jerome Opoku, Gideon Mensah, and Derrick Kohn add depth to the back line. Goalkeepers Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Benjamin Asare, and Joseph Anang are also in camp. More arrivals, including Alexander Djiku and Kojo Oppong Peprah, are expected this week.

Ghana will face Austria on March 27 at Vienna’s Ernst Happel Stadium before traveling to Stuttgart to play Germany on March 30. Both matches form part of the team’s build-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, offering a test of squad cohesion and tactical readiness against European opposition.
