The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has been cast into mourning following the death of a second-year student, Ransford Amankwah Asomani, enrolled in the BSc Agribusiness Management program.

In a statement released Monday, February 9, the university said Mr. Asomani fell from the second floor of an off-campus hostel in Ayeduase in the early hours of Sunday, February 8. Colleagues rushed him to the KNUST Hospital with assistance from the university’s District Police Patrol Team. He was pronounced dead on arrival.

“The university community has suffered a grievous loss,” management said, extending condolences to the student’s family and peers.
