Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is reportedly considering a permanent move to Barcelona, with no intention of returning to Old Trafford when his loan spell expires on June 30, 2026.

According to the Mirror, the 28-year-old England international is willing to accept a pay cut in order to continue his career in Spain, where he believes he is playing for a club with genuine ambitions of winning major trophies.

Rashford is said to be impressed by Barcelona’s project under head coach Hansi Flick, whom he trusts to guide the club back to success on the European stage.

Since joining the Catalan giants on a season-long loan in July 2025, Rashford has become a key figure in Barcelona’s attack. He has registered an impressive 10 goals and 13 assists across all competitions this season, underlining his growing influence in the squad.

The forward has also written his name into the club’s history books, becoming the first player to score in three major competitions for Barcelona in a single season. His impact has been particularly strong in Europe, where he has netted five goals in eight matches, including a memorable free kick against FC København.

Barcelona reportedly holds a €30 million (£26 million) purchase option, which would allow them to make the deal permanent in the summer of 2026 — a move Rashford is believed to be keen on should the opportunity arise.
