Dr Ghadafi Saibu, President and CEO of the Institute of Comparative African Policy Analysis (ICAPA), has described the NPP’s Peace Party initiative as a “white elephant” that is unlikely to resolve internal disputes.
Speaking on Bullet TV’s Morning Target, he warned that the upcoming NPP presidential primaries are expected to be contentious and called on the party to establish an eminent committee to address disputes and maintain unity.
Dr Saibu emphasised that without concrete mechanisms for conflict resolution, internal tensions could undermine the party’s cohesion ahead of the 2028 elections.
