The Confederation of African Football on Tuesday unveiled its Team of the Tournament for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, a lineup dominated by players from Senegal, Morocco and Nigeria after a month of high drama and dazzling performances.

Senegal, crowned champions in Rabat after a tense final against Morocco, placed three of its stars in the prestigious XI. Midfield anchors Idrissa Gueye and Pape Gueye joined talismanic forward Sadio Mané, underscoring the nation’s balance of grit and flair that carried them to the title.

Morocco, the host nation and runner-up, also featured prominently. Goalkeeper Yassine “Bono” Bounou, defenders Noussair Mazraoui and Achraf Hakimi, and forward Brahim Díaz were all recognized for their consistency and brilliance in front of home crowds.

Nigeria, semifinalists in the tournament, saw its attacking power rewarded. Victor Osimhen, the Napoli striker whose relentless energy defined Nigeria’s campaign, was named alongside Ademola Lookman and defender Calvin Bassey, reflecting the Super Eagles’ influence across the pitch.
