Ghana will play Germany in an international friendly on March 30 as part of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The match at Stuttgart is the first confirmed pre-World Cup fixture for the Black Stars, who are drawn in Group L alongside England, Croatia and Panama. The tournament begins June 11 in Mexico, Canada and the United States.

“This is an amazing opportunity for us to test ourselves against one of the best teams in the world,” Ghana coach Otto Addo said. “Germany are a good side, and we can’t wait to face them in Stuttgart.”

Germany, placed in Group E with Curaçao, Ivory Coast and Ecuador, will use the friendly to sharpen their squad as well. “We are very much looking forward to the clash with Otto’s team,” Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann said. “Their strong transition play can give us a taste of what to expect in the World Cup group match against Ivory Coast.”
Ghana and Germany have met three times in all competitions, with the Black Stars recording two defeats and one draw.
