Adwoa Safo, the former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, and her legal team were formally informed of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) decision to delay her appearance before the party’s disciplinary committee, according to Haruna Mohammed, Deputy General Secretary of the NPP.
The hearing was initially scheduled in response to comments made by Adwoa Safo regarding the NPP’s performance in the 2024 elections. These remarks sparked internal concerns and were deemed to have violated the party’s communication protocols, prompting disciplinary proceedings.
While the specific reason for the postponement was not disclosed, Haruna Mohammed noted in a post on GhOne TV’s Twitter account that Safo and her legal representatives had been duly notified of the rescheduling.
The hearing, originally set for Monday, April 7, 2025, has been postponed with no new date or explanation provided at this time.
Adwoa Safo had earlier expressed her disappointment after arriving at the NPP headquarters only to be informed that the committee meeting would not take place as scheduled.
The case remains unresolved, with further details about the rescheduled hearing expected in due course.
