The Telecel Ghana Music Awards, now in its 27th year, continues to evolve with the country’s fast-changing music scene.

Robert Klah, head of public events and communications at Charterhouse, told Bullet TV’s Vibes Central that the awards have built “a powerful legacy” shaped by musicians, organizers and industry players over the years.

Klah also addressed the introduction of a new “swing period policy,” designed to capture late-breaking hits and ensure artists releasing songs at the end of the year are not overlooked.

“The swing period is to ensure that songs released toward the end of the previous year have an opportunity to feature if they have cultural impact in the year under review,” he said.
