Presidential candidate for the Ghana Freedom Party, Philip Appiah Kubi, commonly known as Roman Fada, looks forward to bringing iconic Ghanaian musicians, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, on board to claim power from the dominant political parties in the 2028 general elections.

According to him, he has plans of bringing the two giants on board — Shatta Wale as running mate and Stonebwoy as Chief of Staff to run the country.

Roman Fada, known for his incredible contributions in the Ghanaian media and creative space, appeared in the political arena during the 2024 general elections after the late Maame Akua Donkor, leader and founder of the Ghana Freedom Party, named him her running mate.

He eventually became the presidential candidate after the sudden demise of Maame Akua Donkor a few weeks before the general elections that brought His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for the second time as president of the Republic of Ghana.

Roman Fada, one of the youngest among the tall candidates, gained love and respect from the general public, especially the younger generation, due to his youth-focused manifesto.

In a recent conversation on Atinka Television, Roman Fada said the unfortunate circumstances that occurred between him, and the electoral commission are not stopping him from running again in the next general elections.

According to him, he’s poised to come back more strongly to claim power from the National Democratic Party and New Patriotic Party, who have managed the country since the beginning of the fourth republic, but the youth seem not satisfied.

Looking at the influence, love and charisma of these iconic creatives — their command on the ‘street’, Roman Fada believes they are perfect personalities to help him embark on this emancipation journey.

Fans of these dancehall artists have on many occasions been advocating for them to attain higher positions to represent and fight for the youth population.

On many occasions, Shatta Wale has spoken about how important it is for a youth front in the country to ensure they get a better share of the national cake.

The youth of Africa, especially in Ghana, have over the years complained about the leadership in Africa and need a facelift in African leadership.

Roman Fada is inspired by the current president of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Faye and that of France, Emmanuel Jean-Michel Frédéric Macron — two young presidents doing amazing things for their respective countries.
